Microsoft (MS) Excel is a powerful spreadsheet tool that helps students acquire proficiency in both technology and subject content.
MS Excel is used to make calculations, create models and simulations. Simulations are very useful when trying to answer questions that life presents. Models in this case are used to try out different things to help determine what would be a better solution to a decision.
Excel also uses other tools that can help any parent or student better analyze and interpret data.
Teaching students to use technology such as MS Excel or other spreadsheet software (though Excel is most widely used) in a classroom will provide them with an alternative and more efficient way to make use of data.
